Delayed Sale of Corinthian Enables Extra Actions to Regulators

Here at Higher Ed, Not Debt we’ve been working on stopping failing for-profit Corinthian Colleges from escaping accountability for trapping thousands of students with massive debt loads and unusable degrees. The good news is that the sale was supposed to have been finalized January 2 — but because students have spoken up about their experiences, the deal is still up in the air.

With the delay of the sale, Higher Ed, Not Debt’s partners and student contacts have been and will continue to put pressure on states and the federal government to ensure the deal does not go through without protections for students.

Today we sent letters to state governors asking them to stand up for students.  Stay tuned for ways you can reach out to your legislators!
