We Need to #DefendStudents

The Department of Education will soon begin a process to rewrite and weaken two important rules – the Borrower Defense to Repayment Rule and the Gainful Employment Rule. These rules exist to protect students from ineffective, expensive career education programs and give them recourse if they were defrauded by a predatory school. By moving to gut these rules, DeVos has made it clear where her loyalties lie, and it’s not with students.
