As a reminder, Senator Gillibrand has introduced an important piece of legislation that NYPIRG is supportive of. The Federal Student Loan Refinancing Act would allow those who have graduated and have federal student loan debt with interest rates above 4% to refinance down to 4%. Please familiarize yourself with this important initiative as Senator Gillibrand will want to engage with you on the idea.
