How to Apply for Student Loan Forgiveness if Your School Defrauded You
The Wall Street Journal just published a blog post with tips about applying for student loan forgiveness. The blog post appeared after an article detailing the struggles victims of for-profit colleges have had with the refund process.
From The Wall Street Journal:
Americans who believe they were defrauded by their colleges and universities can apply to have their federal student loans forgiven. The Education Department program is called “borrower defense,” or “defense to repayment,” and is intended to help student borrowers whose schools violated a state law during the recruiting process.
